Today, I ordered takeout and I wasn't disappointed. First time at the restaurant and I was greeted like I was family. Family owned and operated, which I love supporting local businesses. I meet the owners and family, and they were extremely cordial and friendly. The restaurant was nicely set up with plenty of seating. It was also very clean inside. I had the shrimp tacos with avocado and a side of rice. The meal was very flavorful and delicious. The sauces were very good as well. I'm looking forward to going back and trying out more of their authentic dishes. If you're in the area, I highly recommended going there and giving it a try for yourself. If you like my review and photos, please give then a thumbs up and follow me for great locations to go. CHEERS.....

My wife and I stopped here on a rainy Saturday afternoon, craving some tasty Mexican food. I had been to this space pre-Covid and I remember the food being just ok. This time was a much different experience. The kitchen was bustling with activity, more cooks than customers initially. The furniture was upgraded, and my first impression was that this wasn't the same place. When I looked at the menu, I could tell that this place was the real deal with their offerings of tacos de lengua, buche, and cabeza. And they had several varieties of pozole and consome, just what the doctor ordered! It was so good and so fresh and with all of the fixings! We also ordered tacos. Handmade corn tortillas with the traditional fixings. The barbacoa was so tender and rich! The carnitas were juicy and trimmed beautifully - all killer, no filler, as I like to say. The salsa verde was not for the faint of heart. Beautiful kick that had us slurping down the Tamarind agua fresca (large and handmade) and chomping the basket of tortilla chips to put out the fire. The salsa rojo was smoky and mild, adding a beautiful ting to the tacos. Our waiter was attentive, informative, and friendly. He shared that his family bought the place from the previous owners and have made it their own. Indeed, they have! We rolled out of their and needed to take a nap. Take it from a guy who has traveled all over Mexico and lived in Mexico City -- this place is good!

I loved the place. It’s a small simple little place that takes “CASH ONLY” I had steak tacos and were very good, as good as if not better than anything in central Texas. Straight up Mexican food, not dressed up, not fancy’d up. They have a good selection of drinks, Mexican Coke’s, Mexican bottled water....... no Topo-Chico though. The music was authentic, very little English in this place. Good parking, windows up front, open and airy. I’d go back. BatesX3 from Kansas City loved it.
